State of the Union? Confused. State of Obama? Cornered.

I expected a run-of-the-mill applause fest.  There was no expectation that anything even remotely substantive would be revealed from a speech designed to provide quotable quotettes and standing ovations.  But, man, that gathering of weasels provided visual moments I will never forget.

1.  "We don't quit. I don't quit!"
Here was a perfect Chicago blend of "playing to the base" and angry ugly political threat. All the passionate Tea Party demonstrators, and the citizens quickly realizing America's big electoral mistake, were told that they would not be heard. Theirs is an obstacle that will be traversed.  Obama knows better. The Party knows what's best for you.
2.  "Don't ask. Don't tell."
Did you get a gander at the Joint Chiefs?  Wouldn't you love to read the voice balloons that went with those glares? We are at war on two fronts, and the Commander-in Chief forcefully declares that we need more homosexuals in the armed forces.  He listens to the Pandering Czar more often than he listens to his Generals.
3.  The Dressing-Down of the Supreme Court.
The Justices sit sullenly while being attacked pubically and internationally by the supposed Chief Executive.  Is this a management style normal in Chicago political circles?  Sorry... rhetorical question.  The sight of the chastised Supreme Court seated and surrounded by standing and cheering Democrat Party members was burned into my political memory.  There are many who will neither forgive nor forget that scene.

Obama defined himself last night.  Obama insulted the opposition last night. He drew a line in the sand and dared the nation to defy him.  All across the this country, patriots prepared for battle.

Perhaps he'd be a different guy if he'd spent a few years working in his father's feed store.

Here’s a tag cloud of Obama’s 2010 State of the Union Address:

So, It is public spanking for those who do not like the Chicago way?

Well, time to pull out all the stops.

Mobilize. Everything this fraud advocates is to be fought tooth and nail. Not one item the first Kenyan wants he shall get. Not one inch. If it is partisan politics is what he wants, well, that is what we give him and his cronies.

Do you think any of the Supreme's will retire during this thug's term of office? No. Not after that slap down. The current justices will die in office rather than give this clown another pick. Even the wise Latina and Ginsberg looked very unhappy at the swipe at the court.

Our enemies of freedom made it known last night that is war to the knife and knife to the hilt. If we the people are not willing to stand up to these TRAITORS, our children's future is one of Marxist slavery and death. There is quite a few Americans who will not go quietly into the Obot goodnight without claiming a few heads. Are you one of these? Or are you a passenger for a cattle car? Time to decide and then prepare. And act.

Time to pick up our weapons, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and stand a post freedom warriors. The bots are in the wire and tac air is inbound and about to dump snake and nape all over our pos. Hang on, it is going to be a bumpy ride...

Rhod, what the hell's a tag cloud? I'll go look.

I just heard that Thomas and Scalia didn't even show up for the SOTU. Rumor is they were at Avatar.

Nice one, Woody.

I had hoped that conservatives would have gotten from their seated positions and either stood with their backs to the teleprompter in chief or simply walked out to demonstrate their bipartisanship efforts. If ever there was a president who had the attitude of "my way or the hyway" this one does a bang up job of walking over anyone who doesn't jump in line.

This speech was pretty much as I had anticipated, lies, more lies, and damnable lies.

TF, I'm hoping the Republican is the best one... give him enough rope.

And, Chick, he forgot to mention his birth certificate.

"State of Obama? Cornered."

That's the money quote Nickie. An animal is most dangerous when it's cornered.

Watch this SOB. Anything goes from here on in.

Nick, I had to Google "tag cloud", too, but I haven't visited the link to see one.

Sig, he's going to the mattresses.

Rhod... I can tell you from experience, it'll pass.

For a more accurate word cloud, this one replaces the word I with hedgehog. http://www.wordle.net/show/wrdl/1591751/state_of_the_union_2010

I love this group!!! And most of the commentors that frequent this blog! My kind of people! I got quite a few chuckles out of the truths written here. Good job all!

Then there's Obama's Blame Game. He's the guy on "Cops" who's sitting on the curb and says "they're not mine" when the cop finds ten crack pipes in the car, 67 bags of cracks, two pounds of grass, six stolen pistols, burglar tools, two rubber masks, a ten-pound chain of door keys, fifty pounds of labelled clothing from The Gap and five cans of spray paint.

...and three ATM's. He's honest about the ATM's. They're not his.

Thanks, TKZ. That brings up an entirely new idea for satire. Obama the Hedgehog. Hmmmm.

Rhod, I've almost got the image. Is he wearing a shirt?

Rhod said...

No, he has an XXLL but new T-Shirt that cost $80, and his belt line begins mid thigh.

His girl companion is wearing an old-fashioned love thong.

Sounds like there were a lot of words that will show up on future obama dinner plates. Not for the morons of course, but for more folks than I thought were out there 6 months ago.

Went to the site. Still cannot figure out what is so appealing about a cloud tag.

I remember "Old Fashioned Love Thong." Very popular hit by Three Dog Night back in 1971.

Kid, I've already begun collecting Obama commemorative plates.

If you're interested, I'd recommend the Michelle Obama "American Pride" collection.

Sig... You're close to being banned for that one.

Locked and loaded! VN8

Hypothetically yet hopefully not literally necessary, we stand ready, locked and loaded as conservative brothers and sisters-in-arms. Obama inadvertently(?) calls down the thunder (of patriots). Let nothing stand in our way.

Thanks for the tip Nickie. So far I've only got a boob belt (Not sure it's genuine), and a cassette of the obama theme song - Movin On Up! (to the east side), that came with a certificate of authenticity, and a signed portrait of the White House dog - a $50 value I'm told.
