I haven't been able to establish the veracity of this article and other gun news from CT is suspect. I'll keep trying to get confirmation if this story is true.
Perhaps over 80% of Connecticut gun owners refused to register their firearms under a new state law. The powers that be were planning to send thecops after them, until they found out that 68% of the cops in the state had also refused to comply.
When the cops tell you to kiss their ass it's time to listen.
Story here.
UPDATE: Still no conformation but nothing to say it isn't true either. Another story about 250 CT officers refusing to enforce the law is falling apart.

Connecticut has been making news due to their hastily passed gun registration laws. According to some sources as few as 15% of gun owners have actually registered their firearms. News Blogs have been warning state officials are talking about mass confiscations of the unregistered firearms.
Plans for these confiscations hit a snag when a legislative intern dared to ask a question. “Who will be going door to door to take all the guns away?” asked the 21-year-old college senior.
Reportedly multiple people in the room in the most sarcastic voices they could muster said “the police”.
The unnamed intern then pointed at the list and said, “my dad’s name is on the list, and he is the police chief. I see three other names on this list of family members, all cops.”

You know, it won't be cops that they will go after, if they try to push confiscation and people start dying. It'll be politicians whose heads will roll. There simply aren't enough police, even adding in national guard, to protect those criminals in office, forget about confiscating the guns.
By the way, the numbers I have are 350,000 "assault weapons" owned by citizens... but that was as of three years ago. The Zero admin has ushered in a time of unprecedented arming by citizens. It is suggested Americans went from 15 to 50 percent civilians armed in his admin, the last number was from halfway into his admin, you crack the numbers. I'm guessing, minimally, given it is a leftist leaning state, at least half a million owners now. But if the trend follows, possibly a million. If, true enough, no one can be sure. Yum!
It just comes down to numbers. I would not want to be Custer right at this moment.
This is why Obugger has outfitted his DHS troops with armored trucks and zillions of rounds of ammo. He may or may not be able to accomplish his ends but things sure are looking interesting.
DHS recruits from the human race. They are not all robots. If they have a law enforcement or military background they are likely to make common cause with the Connecticut State Police and with the other local officers and sheriffs who will likely abstain from participation in an unconstitutional/illegal act.
The question that Obama and friends should be asking themselves is, "Do we want to fire the shot heard round the world?"
I love it when a liberal puts himself looking down the barrel of a gun.
That just gave me a splendid idea, Odie! In prep for the next election? Use pictures of the politicians who voted for this... through the barrel of a rifle. Seriously. It would make it very clear just who voted to suspend the constitution.
Doom, Like the idea. Especially if 50 Million of us do it. And if you want a good template for the pic, how about that one form the start of every James Bond movie. Aw yea.
Sig, yea, "the plan" calls for 25 million non-compliant Americans killed. If they can fire it up. And find enough people to go shooting up neighborhoods. I don't see that turning out like the battle of HUE though.
Alex Jones has reported on the body bags and plastic caskets stored up around the country.
This has been in the works for several years.
CT may be the testing ground for a nation wide roll out.
I don't see individual home owners standing their ground alone with a group of armed police or who ever from the lawless gov black jacket and hooded un-American Tyrants.
In the past few years, Raiding the wrong house (bad address) and shooting the homeowner when they reach for their piece, may have been a psychological programing of not to resist. Unknown to the beatguy I'm sure. Politics youknow.
TS/WS, If it really got serious, I'm thinking, each community has what 30-50 cops? To take down a hundred thousand houses ? Would you want to be one of those door knockers if the word is out that you're the new gestapo? And 2700 Mine resistant vehicles across America isn't even pissing in the ocean. I don't see it happening. I really don't. Not with so many people who Might be hair triggers at that point.
A rifle behind every blade of grass. I just don't see the number of people who would sign on to that (lying oath takers?) even including the McDonald's rejects(The TSA) taking on that mission.
Obamo has already brought in the Chinese Cops don't you know, and the German Police have been here for awhile.
Like I said Un-American black jacket and hooded--who will know what they really look like, any foreigner can learn to say "police hands up"-in English.
TW/WS,
Just do the numbers. Just in Connecticut there are (last report, from 3 years ago, halfway through the biggest arming of US citizens in history) 350,000 owners of guns that are now considered illegal. (How many own guns that ARE legal, on top of that?) One seventh of those have registered. Assuming that people in Conn didn't arm, like the rest of America, that means 300,000 Conneticuts are armed and unregistered, just with guns that are now outlawed. How many cops, state troopers, and foreign troops/police, would you need to overwhelm that size of a group of people? That is a literal war, and I doubt if citizens from other states would stay out of it.
I don't think you understand the numbers. Sure, for the first few, it could be terrifying, even lethal. But once radicalized, the rest would gather, communicate, organize. Think of it this way... How much trouble did, and does, the US military have in places like Afghanistan and Iraq? Seriously? The state doesn't have a chance.
II Peter 2; 14: Having eyes full of adultery (false gods), and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: a heart they have exercised with covetous practice; cursed children:
15...
I wrote this after Hillery signed the Small Arms Treaty (U.N.), and a couple of weeks before Sandy H__k
on a blog -having it out with a liberal (Republican Mother's blog).
Some just can't put these horrible acts with Legislation (Gun Control and Abortion), been tracking for a long time.
Senator Coverdale and H.R. Tom Delay both Co-Signed the Parental Rights Notification - to stop schools form taking young pregnant girls across State Lines for an abortion; Delay survived because of his Brave Security Guard.
With unstable souls: a heart they have exercised with covetous practice--
The Treaty can't be Ratified by the Senate - so they have to take extreme measures to satisfy the U.N.
We know that the numbers say otherwise, but... Dark Powers and Principalities is at the fore
It is true that there should be proper registration of the gun owner and also the firearm shop so that there is a record which can be used by the police if any crime happens.
