The Dead Zone

I'm not getting morbid or depressed or anything like that, but there's plenty of death in the news lately. So let's say howdy and goodbye to the recently dearly departed.

February 18th - Sliding on his merry way to hell is Omar Rahman, the spiritual advisor the first WTC bombing. What an adventure! Will he find rowdy virgins and pomegranates promised him? He threw the dice and picked Mohammad behind Door Number Two.
Omar Ahmad Rahman, the so-called “Blind Sheik” convicted of plotting terror attacks in the United States in the 1990s, died Saturday in a federal prison where he was serving a life sentence. He was 78.

Rahman died at 5:40 a.m. after suffering from diabetes and coronary artery disease, said Kenneth McKoy at the Federal Correction Complex in Butner, North Carolina. He had been at the complex for seven years.

Rahman had a suspected link to the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993 but was never convicted, CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton reports.
Satan's dinner parties should liven up a bit; this guy's a real firecracker.

February 18th - God's grace is truly unsearchable. Norma is the Roe in Roe v. Wade that initiated the so called right to kill your unborn child. She started a process that would result in the greatest organized slaughter of the innocent since Harod the Great's attempt to kill baby Jesus.
Norma McCorvey, the woman behind the 1973 Supreme Court ruling Roe v. Wade that legalized abortion, died Saturday. She was 69 years old.

McCorvey died of heart failure at an assisted-living home in Katy, Texas, according to journalist Joshua Prager. Prager is writing a book about Roe v. Wade and told USA TODAY he has spent hundreds of hours with McCorvey.

McCorvey, who went by the pseudonym Jane Roe, challenged the constitutionality of abortion laws in Texas in 1971. At the time, it was illegal for women to have abortions unless their lives were at risk.
Later in life McCorvey became an anti-abortion activist and a devout Christian.

February 13th - In a dramatic departure from previous executions, the half-brother of North Korean President Kim Jong Un was assassinated (poisoned) in an airport lobby in Malaysia. Prior deaths of North Korean politicians, generals, colonels, family, friends, associates, neighbors, school chums, chess club members and complete strangers were usually accomplished with the aid of howitzers, mortars, anti-aircraft cannons, missiles, machine guns, sausage grinders or massive 4th of July poppers.
Seoul (AFP) - They used to call him the "Little General" but Kim Jong-Nam -- once heir-apparent to his father and North Korea's then-leader Kim Jong-Il -- fell from grace in 2001 after a spectacular blunder.

On Tuesday, after more than a decade in exile from the North, Jong-Nam -- the 45-year-old half-brother of current leader Kim Jong-Un -- was widely reported by South Korean media to have been assassinated in Malaysia.
A notice just posted on the Infernal Fiery Gates states that there is a temporary restriction on North Korean admissions until the Screaming Room of the Lake of Fire Resort is completed. The Hostels of Hell are slightly overbooked, but not to worry ... they'll make do.
