How the 2nd Amendment Will Come In Handy

An Israeli is surrounded by a hostile Muslim mob. He is attacked and when trying to drive away he is cut off by an ambulance. At about 1:20 you see the crowd move away from him. That is because he just shot and killed one of the idiots and wounded a few more.

The way the leftists are threatening the peace and civility of our country, I can see this scenario playing out in many communities.

It's Unfair To Shoot An Armed Robber?

Last November Michael Grace was shot in the head by a Pizza Hut employee as he used a handgun to rob the store (Charlotte, NC), His mother feels that this is unfair.

Ripped from the depths of the interwebs:
The parents of a dead armed robber are very angry over his death, and are demanding to know why his innocent victim was allowed to be armed.

It’s been a difficult week for parents Temia Hairston and Michael Grace Sr. Their son, Michael Grace Jr., was shot and killed during an attempted robbery early Sunday morning.

Police said Grace Jr. and two other people tried to rob a Pizza Hut in the 3200 block of Freedom Drive. During the incident, an employee fired his own handgun and killed Grace Jr.

Hairston said she learned of her son’s death on social media, and only got confirmation from police after contacting them first. The grieving mother said she has been left with dozens of questions about the situation that have thus far gone unanswered.

“If there was to be a death, it was not the place of the employee at Pizza Hut. That is the place of law enforcement,” said Hairston
Wow, what a surprise, the kid was bla

Thank God Eisenhower Was A Republican

From iOTW:
Labour MP Jo Cox has been shot and killed in an attack in West Yorkshire today.

The 41-year-old mother of two was shot three times and stabbed just before 1pm in Birstall in her Batley & Spen constituency.

She was pronounced dead around an hour later, leaving her husband Brendan and two young children, aged 3 and 5.

West Yorkshire Police have arrested a 52-year-old man, named locally as Tommy Mair.

Her assailant is claimed to have shouted ‘Britain First’ as he walked away from her lying in a pool of blood.
As for the use of a gun against this woman, look no further than Chicago or Detroit to see the efficacy of gun control legislation. The odds of a young black male getting shot in either of these two cities is about the same as a 19 yr old white male on Omaha Beach. Thank God Ike wasn’t a Democrat else we’d still be there.

Public Health A Menace To Pubic Safety

How has the government's public health initiatives to control sexually transmitted diseases worked out? Not so well.

In the past 13 years, STD cases reported to the CDC have increased by 63%. Primary and secondary syphilis cases have increased by 160% (from 6,158 in 2000 to 17,768 in 2013). So much for doctors trying to control how people screw.

Now they'll try their hand at how people handle firearms.

Apparently public health concerns are now a smoke screen for every liberal initiative meant to enslave us and to increase corporate profits. The following propaganda is from CNBC:
The massacre in Orlando spurred the American Medical Association on Tuesday to formally call gun violence "a very public health crisis," and say the organization will "actively lobby" Congress to end a funding ban on federal health research into the problem.

The move by the largest group of doctors in the United States, during a meeting in Chicago, came days after a gunman slaughtered 49 people and wounded 53 others at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday morning with a legally purchased .223-caliber Sig Sauer MCX semi-automatic rifle.
The article rambles on about "...approximately 30,000 men, women and children dying each year at the barrel of a gun..." without noting that more people are murdered by hammers each year than are killed by rifles.

In 2014 (the latest year for complete FBI homicide statistics) there were 8,124 people murdered by firearms and only 248 (3%) were killed with a rifle. There were 660 people punched or kicked to death that year and 435 killed with hammers and clubs. As semiautomatic "assault" rifles are but a small percentage of the rifle category, the AMA should be picketing Home Depot and Lowes instead of the NRA.

Over 68% of firearm murders were by handguns and most of these were blacks shot in urban centers where Democrat Mayors rule the roost and where highly restrictive gun control laws are in place.
[...]"Even as America faces a crisis unrivaled in any other developed country, the Congress prohibits the [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] from conducting the very research that would help us understand the problems associated with gun violence and determine how to reduce the high rate of firearm-related deaths and injuries."
Actually firearm murders have decreased by 39% from 1993 to 2011. The overwhelming majority of firearm deaths are suicides. Over 60% of all firearm deaths are suicides. This is a mental health issue. About 50% of all suicides are with a firearm and the suicide rate in the US is increasing.

How many of these suicides were committed while the victim was under the supervision of a doctor/psychiatrist and taking proscribed medications? How many doctors profit from their association with proscription drug providers? How many doctors kill their patients with these drugs?

Antidepressant drugs such as Zoloft, Paxil and Prozac are known to increase suicidal thoughts as well as violent, aggressive behavior.

An eight year old article from Fox News states:
[...]Until now, the Food and Drug Administration's attention to the suicide risks of medications has focused on psychiatric drugs, such as antidepressants prescribed to youngsters. But this year, officials unexpectedly broadened their concerns to include a medication for asthma, drugs for controlling seizures and even one for quitting smoking. Those are medical conditions not usually associated with psychiatric disorders.

Several independent experts say the safety alarms point to a gap in the FDA's knowledge of how drugs affect the brain. Even if medications are intended for physical conditions, some drugs can have unforeseen consequences if they are able to enter the brain. A group at Columbia University has developed a method for assessing the suicide risks of drugs, possibly helping identify risks before a medication goes on the market. But the FDA only requires use of such assessments on a case-by-case basis.
Six of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the US spend between two and six million dollars a year on lobbying. How much of their lobbying is spent to ensure that the FDA only conducts pharmaceutical suicide assessments on a case-by-case basis rather than industry wide?

Don't Bother The ATF, They're Too Busy Selling Guns To The Cartels

Katie Couric's slanted piece on gun control - Katie and her producer admitted that they had a staffer commit a "straw purchase" of a firearm by sending him out of state to buy guns in Arizona in direct violation of federal law.

You may remember that Mayor Bloomberg screamed bloody murder about straw purchases ten years ago and the laws haven't changed.

From Fox News on May, 16, 2006:
A day earlier the mayor announced the city was suing 15 out-of-state gun dealers for what he said are violations of gun purchase laws caught on undercover videotape. In the sting operation, a person would complete paperwork and a background check while purchasing a gun only to give the firearm to someone else, commonly called a "straw purchase."
Still don't hear the outrage but it is a very selective outrage.

The ATF arrests people all the time for this. We need people to pressure the ATF to investigate Couric and Stephanie Soechtig (both for conspiracy) as well as the staffer who actually made the purchase.

“We sent a producer out and he is from Colorado and he went to Arizona and he was able to buy a Bushmaster and then three other pistoles without a background check in a matter of four hours. And that’s perfectly legal.”

Except it isn’t. Legal, that is. When Soechtig sent a producer to Arizona from Colorado specifically to acquire firearms, she could have actually broken two federal laws:

Interstate transfer: for a purchaser to acquire a firearm outside their state of residence – in this case, Colorado – the transfer must go through a licensed firearms dealer in the purchaser’s state of residence [18 U.S.C 922(a)(3); 27 CFR 478.29].
Straw purchase: one individual may not make the purchase of a firearm in someone else’s name [18 U.S.C. 922(a)(5)].

By Soechtig’s own admission, she sent a producer across state lines with instructions to purchase a firearm on her behalf (violation of straw purchase laws). And unless her producer is also a licensed firearms dealer, it’s likely that interstate transfer laws may also have been violated.

The New Knock Knock Game

Knock. Knock. Kick. Kick. Bang. Bang.
New Orleans Pelicans guard Bryce Dejean-Jones was fatally shot after breaking down the door to a Dallas apartment, authorities said Saturday.

Dejean-Jones had been visiting his girlfriend’s new apartment and mistakenly entered the wrong unit, the player’s agent said.

A man living at the apartment was sleeping when he heard his front door kicked open, Dallas Police Senior Cpl. DeMarquis Black said in a statement. When Dejean-Jones began kicking at the bedroom door, the man retrieved a handgun and fired.

Officers who responded found Dejean-Jones collapsed in an outdoor passageway, and he died at a hospital. He was 23.
Story here.

I have had my share of girlfriends in my youth. I don't recall ever trying to kick down their doors at any time, for any reason.

I used flowers and candy instead of burglary and brute force, but what do I know...

Hollywood Speaks

Here's what some celebrities think about gun control:
Vince Vaughn

“I support people having a gun in public full stop, not just in your home,” Vaughn told GQ in 2015. “We don’t have the right to bear arms because of burglars; we have the right to bear arms to resist the supreme power of a corrupt and abusive government. It’s not about duck hunting; it’s about the ability of the individual. It’s the same reason we have freedom of speech.”

Julianne Moore

“The Second Amendment protects the right of a United States citizen to bear arms,” Moore wrote in an April 2016 issue of Lenny Letter. “But a gun is a machine. And if you choose to bear arms, you have a responsibility to bear them safely.”

Susan Sarandon

“How much more suffering & loss will it take before we better regulate the sale of arms in our country?” Sarandon tweeted in 2012. “Let @NRA know how you feel.”

Maryland Pays The Price For Political Correctness

 Beretta's beautiful brand new facility

Beretta is opening a new manufacturing facility in Tennessee after abandoning its American base of operations in Maryland.
Gun maker Beretta USA is opening a new factory on Friday, the culmination of generous land and tax offers in Tennessee and restrictive gun laws at its old Maryland location.

Beretta USA is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony at the recently built facility in Gallatin, Tennessee, on April 15, having moved all manufacturing from Maryland.

The new factory is 160,000 square feet, compared to 115,000 square feet if left behind, said Gabriele de Plano, vice president of defense marketing and operations for Beretta USA.

"We've got plenty of space to expand as well," he said.

He said the new factory is on a 100 acre plot that will feature an outdoor shooting range, unlike the old factory, which had a range in the basement.

Beretta is an Italian gun maker that has been manufacturing guns in Maryland since the 1980s, when it started providing arms to the U.S. military, which required them to be American-made.
