Exodus

NOT THIS

Not the Book of Exodus where the nation of Israel is led out of bondage, but the exodus of Obama administration officials. I see the same thing happening in NY Gov. Paterson's administration as literally hundreds of political appointees go looking elsewhere for employment. I know a few of them. Very nice people for the most part; just because you're an appointee doesn't automatically mean you're a worthless parasite. But appointees know the terms of their employment and that when circumstances change, they had best seek a job elsewhere if they want to continue to feed their families.

THIS

In naval parlance, the Ship of State is getting a new Captain and a new crew. Happens all the time. But Obama isn't going anywhere for another two years. Why the hurry? If the Captain is staying, why is the crew leaving? Some insiders are talking. Here's some excerpts from a three part interview with an administration insider as posted on the News Flavor site in The President is Losing It. Apparently the Love Those Dems Boat's skipper has issues.

But after Obama was sworn in, things began to change?

Almost immediately. Obama loved to campaign. He clearly didn’t like the work of being President though, and that attitude was felt by the entire White House staff within weeks after the inauguration. Obama the tireless, hard working candidate became a very tepid personality to us. And the few news stories that did come out against him were the only things he seemed to care about. He absolutely obsesses over Fox News. For being so successful, Barack Obama is incredibly thin-skinned. He takes everything very personally.

So if Obama doesn’t appear interested in the job of president, what does he do day after day?

Well, he takes his meetings just like any other president would, though even then, he seems to lack a certain focus and on a few occasions, actually leaves with the directive that be given a summary of the meeting at a later date. I hear he plays a lot of golf, and watches a lot of television – ESPN mainly. I’ll tell you this – if you want to see President Obama get excited about a conversation, turn it to sports. That gets him interested. You start talking about Congress, or some policy, and he just kinda turns off.

It’s really very strange. I mean, we were all led to believe that this guy was some kind of intellectual giant, right? Ivy League and all that. Well, that is not what I saw. Barack Obama doesn’t have a whole lot of intellectual curiosity. When he is off script, he is what I call a real “slow talker”. Lots of ummms, and lots of time in between answers where you can almost see the little wheel in his head turning very slowly. I am not going to say the president is a dumb man, because he is not, but yeah, there was a definite letdown when you actually hear him talking without the script.

[...] So how bad are things at the White House these days?

I don’t know about right now, because I have not been there in over a month. But I still hear things, and I know what it was like when I left. It’s not good. As bad as it might look to voters based on what they do know, it’s much worse. The infighting is off the charts. You got a Chief of Staff who despises cabinet members, advisors who despise the Chief of Staff, a President and First Lady having their own issues…

Uh oh, that butt thing again.
DC - this one's for you.

Butt there's more. In another installment entitled What The Hell Have We Done? the Obama insider tells us why he is letting himself be interviewed.

Why give your account of what you were seeing or hearing going on at the White House or in the Democrat Party? What is your motivation? Are you angry at the administration? This is perhaps the most common response to any story like this – why do it?

Ok, fair enough. And let me be equally blunt with you then – my motivation is simple. I am doing it for me, for my party, and for my country. In my own small way – maybe it’s insignificant, maybe not, I want to see Democrats move ahead of this mess that we are in right now. It is a mess of our own making, so we need to be the ones to clean it up. If we don’t, this country is going to continue hurting, and too many people out there are really hurting these days.

Ok…but how does giving me some apparent insider information going to help the country, or help your political party?

Simple – it lets others know it’s time to start talking. It’s time to get the word out. It’s time to challenge the inept status quo that is currently running things. People are scared – hell, I’m a bit scared myself. But enough is enough – this political train has got to get back on its tracks. And I’ll tell you this, my talking to you, and your little blog stories, is already helping. More people are ready to talk. It’s already happening. And more is coming. The media won’t be able to ignore it anymore. This administration, the leadership in Congress, they need to account for how they have totally mishandled the responsibilities given to them. That accounting is coming soon enough in November – we are going to get what we deserve. But I am still hopeful it is not too late to save 2012.

[...]Those are strong words – but what exactly to do you mean by that?

What do I mean!? (Voice rising) What I mean is exactly this – we got Congressmen and Senators running for re-election right now whose political careers are about to be ended because they supported a president and a Democratic Party leadership that told them to do so. They trusted they would be politically protected, that the American people would agree with the agenda. Well guess what? That hasn’t happened. Good people, good Democrats, are being tossed aside like so much trash – and this White House DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN. In my eyes that is absolutely unforgivable. You just don’t do that to your own people. And some of these politicians are talking. They are – but for the most part the media is ignoring them because they don’t want to hurt the administration. To that I say enough! Do your damn job. Report what is going on within the Democratic Party. We need to clean up this mess, and it starts by getting the truth out there. That is my motivation.

Also according to this insider, Obama's fleeing staff reports right to the Clintons when they leave Teh Won.

Get ready for Hillary in '12. Probably Rahm will also abandon ship and swim for safe harbor in ObamaTown before he ends up eating leaves in Fort Marcy Park.

Nickie already said he may let me borrow one of his pastel pantsuits with a low set of heels.

Nice work, Sig. Is that "sleight" of hand, to take the eyes off the posterior? Because it's sure not slight of butt ... (insert rimshot).

But seriously, these Demos crack me up. The Demo Party is run and controlled by post-modern leftists. That's their base. Obama is one of their own, perhaps more openly craven than we have seen in the past, but he is what they are at the core. He has attempted -- and said -- those things they have wanted to in the past but have been too worried about public backlash/reaction.

A postmodernist has no loyalty but to himself. Period. Are these people truly talking loyalty? Then they need to leave the party.

Next, re: qualifications ... what is he talking about? Obama has no qualifications. What did he do as a "community org," teacher, a lawyer? Do we even have his college records? Getting elected is no accomplishment. To compound that, Obama defeated an inept opponent in a perfect storm environoment. Plus, he secured his victory by fraud -- by posing as a centrist type who would work beyond partisanship to bring true change to Washington. What a complete steaming pile this is. Who could have possibly believed this garbage? Obama's chief qualification is and was his skin color. Just ask Colin Powell.

Obama is a lying leftist absorbed with himself. Rather than being "thin-skinned" for a successful guy, he detests Fox and all critics because they remind him of who he is. Harsh, I know. But this is reality.

The real crying shame are the unmitigated fools and idiots who voted for this guy. I could care less how miserable McCain is or was. To vote in some one like Obama with all the sirens and warning buzzers loudly going off is alarming and deeply irresponsible.

So, now it's a matter hanging in there until 2012.

DC - absolutely. Anyone who voted for this charade, this commie poser, needs to have a serious boot planted right up to and through the duodenum.

American became the economic powerhouse, the miracle of the Western World through individuals' striving to do the best they could under the capitalist system - a system created by God to reward those who work the hardest and plan the smartest.

All you socialists out there who decry the faults of capitalism are complaining ultimately about the faults in human nature as it reflects itself through our economic system. The trouble is, put the government in charge and the same human frailties now have the power of law. Complain all you want about the coal mining companies, sweat houses, railroads or any other capitalist venture that tightens the cheeks of your socialist ass. They can't hold a candle to the fascists and communists who slaughtered over 100 million people in the 20th century alone.

New estimates now place the loss of life inflicted by Mao Tse Dung's communists at over 60 million. Stallin was good for probably 40 to 60 million. Throw in Pol Pot and Hitler and now you have today's population of the UK and France being tortured and shot with ten million left to spare.

Wall Street at it's worst is an economic annoyance, but it still provided the wherewithal for people to send their kids to college so they could criticize the system that empowered them.

Jackasses and idiots.

Sig, I gotta tell you, I'm real skeptical of anyone criticizing obama these days who was a major supporter. ie, Chrissy Mathews..

I think there's a real good possibility:
. They know he is unelectable in 12
. They know the Dems have rammed every idiotic liberal dream since LBJ down our throats already. There is nothing left to accomplish. They did 10 years of damage in 2. AND now, they can jump the fence without doing any damage to the agenda and later claim they were critical of obama and the dems.

PS, I think the main reason he's not interested in his job is because he doesn't have the competence to do it.

He is literally a dumbass imo, propped up his entire community/political career - by the people who have reaped the multi-billion dollar rewards since he was elected.

The Clintons are ramping up for 2012 because Hillary currently has a high degree of confidence that she can beat zero in the primary. After November, when the numbers are sure, she'll break ranks and step down so that she can run - which means slaughtering zero to the American public.

There are nuggets of truth that may be panned from these offerings. The delightful task of distilling the political mush that is now flooding the internet will keep us busy for quite sometime. I am looking forward to it with my good friends here at GNN.

Wow. Now, I am pleased to hear this. Nothing falls faster than a divided house, as Republicans are learning (and conservatives have learned and are winning finally(?)). They say the revolutions eat their own, which seems to track. The thing not mentioned is that outright carnogrophy (made up word, work with me people) doesn't manifest to this level until, well, the end.

Two years in office and this "man" has completely gimped his party and cannot lead. He may still be culpable for doing evil. One might even say he has been as close to perfectly evil as possible, considering evil never works, always shoots itself in the foot, and such. But in only two years? He could get a speed ticket on his trip to the bottom! Wow.

Still, the news deserves a treat of some kind. Imma be back in a bit to read more comments. And grin summores.

Doom, I LOVE the word "carnogrophy". It's very Palinisque to make up your own word!

I agree with you, kid, that he doesn't like his job because he doesn't have the competence to perform it. He is very good at campaigning, the only thing he has every really accomplished. But as far as leading the country and performing the day-to-day tasks involved therein, he stinks.

There is no question in my mind that Hilary is running and Bill is already out there paving the way. With Obama choosing not to run (or a better scenario, impeached before the end of his term) she will have a clear path to the nomination.

The RNC must be very careful of who goes up against her. None of the "good ole boys" will do. Americans are tired of that, and will see right through it.

Kid said...

Mickie, Thanks and I agree with you. And what a nightmare that would be..

sig94 said...

Can, or will, the Tea Party influence the RNC in 2012? We need more people to get involved at the country level so they can go to the convention and force the nomination of someone who will actually serve this country.
