Peace In Palestine? Don't Believe It, Not For A Moment

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has crossed the Rubicon and voiced “unprecedented” readiness to reach a peace deal with Israel, sources close to the efforts to renew talks between Israel and the Palestinians have told The Jerusalem Post.

Abbas, according to the sources, made this clear to President Donald Trump during their meeting at the White House last week. The president plans to use his trip to Israel later this month to receive assurances from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he, too, is committed to a peace agreement.

Since his meeting with Trump last week, Abbas has changed his rhetoric, issuing a number of statements meant to reflect flexibility on previous demands. He has, for example, said that he would renew the talks under Trump’s auspices without preconditions. In the past, he had said he would not negotiate with Netanyahu without a freeze to settlement construction.

Hmmmm. Remember the Oslo Accords?

The Oslo Accords are a set of agreements between the government of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO): the Oslo I Accord, signed in Washington, D.C., in 1993 and the Oslo II Accord, signed in Taba in 1995.

That went over well, dinnit? And now another "deal?"
Something will happen, either by chance or staged, that will put a kibosh on the new deal.

This is just a Muslim tactic to ensure that the annual $500 million or so that the US gives the Palestinian Authority every year is undisturbed as Trump has made it clear he will not put up with the Muslim zealots' nonsense. Since the Oslo Accords were signed in 1995, the US has given them over $5 billion in aid (see below). The US is the world's most generous donor to these people.

The Book of Revelations tells us that this is not going to end until Christ Himself settles the matter. Then and only then will there be peace for a while.

Deliver Us ... From Idiots

The wife and I watched Disney's "The Prince of Egypt" last night on DVD. It's still one of my favorite animated movies. Especially the first seven minutes where the opening scene is the song "Deliver us.".

The liberals pray for deliverance from a duly elected Chief Executive of the United States named Donald Trump who is against slavery, wants everyone to have a good job and protect us from terrorists.And he's been President for two weeks.

The liberals want to be delivered from the threat of a conservative Supreme Court and now pray for 83 year old Justice Ruth Ginsburg to live forever, or at least for another four years. To ensure her longevity, liberals are flooding the media with suggestions on prolonging her life.

On Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump nominated Neil Gorsuch for deceased Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia's long-empty seat. On Wednesday morning, liberals woke up, did the math and realized it was time to be concerned about Ruth Bader Ginsburg's fiber intake. Also bone density. Also exposure to airborne viruses (Madame Justice, what is your flu shot status?), and salmonella, and slippery ice, and also: Has anyone heard how scientists are coming along with a Zika vaccine?

The Brits blockaded almost all Jewish refugee ships trying to deliver desperate Jews to Palestine and also turned over fortified positions and munitions to the Arab League when they exited Palestine in 1948 so the Arabs could end the Jewish Question by slaughtering them.

But we also made crystal clear that the president of the United States would not make a final decision about our own position until we saw the final text."

According to the Jewish Virtual Library, since the Nobel was first awarded in 1901 approximately 193 of the 855 honorees have been Jewish (22%). Jews make up less than 0.2% of the global population.

This year (2013) 6 of 12 laureates were Jewish. The 13th laureate, for the Nobel Peace Prize, was awarded to an organization and not an individual.

And the accolades continue to grow as new research is developed by the children of Abraham.

God Gathers His People For The Latter Days

The rise of anti-Semitism throughout Europe is just another indication that our time here on Earth grows short. God is preparing the battleground for the End Days.

Attacks on Jews in France have redoubled Israel's efforts to bring her children back to God's Promised Land; just as prophesied by Jeremiah.

Immigrant Absorption Minister Ze'ev Elkin on Friday called on French Jews to make aliyah to Israel following the beheading attack in the country.

"Come home! Anti-Semitism is growing, terrorism is on the rise and the sickly ISIS activists carry out murders in the light of day. We are prepared to accept the Jews of France with open arms," he said.

"All the forecasts are expecting waves of immigration. I am very glad that the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption centers at the Ben Gurion Airport will be working overtime this summer. The government has provided special budgets and will double them if necessary, this is a primary national mission," added Elkin.

Elkin is merely one of God's tools in accomplishing His will.

Jeremiah spoke of this at the very end of chapter 30 when he wrote:

 "In the latter days you will consider it." 

For in chapter 31 he starts:

“At the same time,” says the Lord, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.”

and then seven verses later Jeremiah writes:

Behold, I will bring them from the north country,
And gather them from the ends of the earth,
Among them the blind and the lame,
The woman with child
And the one who labors with child, together;
A great throng shall return there.

From the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D until 1947, there was no Jewish nation and the world's Jews were scattered. Today, more than half the world's Jews live in Israel. Israel's efforts to bring all French Jews are long standing as shown in this AP article from June, 2014.

France has the world's third-largest Jewish population after Israel and the United States - about 500,000, according to rough estimates. The country bans any official documentation of a person's race, religion or ethnicity in a law with roots in French shame over its collaboration with the Nazis.

Since World War II, France has redoubled efforts to make Jewish families feel welcome. But many say dramatic acts of anti-Semitism coupled with France's stagnant economy — which includes a 25 percent youth unemployment rate, compared with 11 percent in Israel — make a hard choice easier.

This does not bode well for France and the rest of Europe, nor indeed any country that strives to drive out God's people. I believe one of the reasons why America was blessed for 200 years was because we allowed the Jews to live here in peace.

We will ultimately face the same thing as the Muslim hordes continue their Obama/DNC inspired invasion. As these heathen Mohammedans (that's what they used to be called) become more numerous, expect to see anti-Semitic activity take a drastic uptick in America. They are driven by Satan's insane hatred of Jews - the people who bore the Messiah, the instrument of Satan's ultimate defeat.

Druze In The News

I have heard of the Druze. To be honest, I never gave much thought about them until now. The Druze are a minor ingredient in the seething stew-pot that is the Near East. Apparently a bunch of them ambushed an Israeli ambulance carrying several wounded men and beat one of them to death.

Earlier this week, on the Golan Heights, an enraged mob assaulted an ambulance and attacked two wounded men inside with rocks, clubs, and chains, killing one and seriously wounding another.

The ambulance was Israeli. The wounded men were Arab fighters from Syria. The assailants were also Arabs, though they were Druze rather than Muslims.

Rocks, clubs and chains. Sounds like a Baltimore prayer meeting.

But who in the wide, wide world of pain (I'll take primitive assault weapons for $400, Alex)  are the Druze? Wikipedia says this:

The Druze revere the father-in-law of Moses, Jethro, whom some Muslims identify with Shuʻayb. According to the biblical narrative, Jethro joined and assisted the Israelites in the desert during the Exodus, accepted monotheism, but ultimately rejoined his own people. The tomb of Jethro near Tiberias is the most important religious site for the Druze community.[

That doesn't tell us much.

The Druze ... are an esoteric monotheistic religious community found primarily in Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and Jordan. The religion incorporates elements of Ismailism, Gnosticism, Neoplatonism and other philosophies. The Druze call themselves Ahl al-Tawhid "People of Unitarianism or Monotheism" or al-Muwaḥḥidūn "Unitarians, Monotheists." Sheikh Amin Tarif was the preeminent religious leader of the community until his death in 1993.

That .....  really doesn't help much either. No matter, whatever they believe, the Druze are very active in the Israeli military and in politics. One of them served as the acting President of Israel in 2007 and the Druze play major roles in the IDF.

As there are about 130,000 Druze scattered throughout Israel, the Golan Heights, Lebanon and Jordan, they find themselves on different sides of the current conflict.

A Druze gotta do what a Druze gotta do.

They make political alliances with whomever is in power, this is how they survive. The Syrian Druze allied themselves with the Assad regime, the Jordan Druze with the King and the Israeli Druze with the Israeli government. So the Druze find themselves at odds even with their own brethren. This happens when you are are a very small minority in a region that is not well known for tolerating people with different beliefs ... except in Israel. The Druze have done very well in Abraham's Keep.

But why did Israeli Druze attack an Israeli ambulance?

So when an Israeli ambulance drove down the street carrying wounded fighters from the Free Syrian Army, some of the local Druze fingered those people as enemies. They are a potential threat to the continued existence of their Druze brethren on the other side of the border since a victory by the Free Syrian Army would lead to the downfall of Assad and the possible enthronement of Al Qaeda or ISIS, whom the Druze couldn’t curry favor with even if they wanted to without abandoning their religion and converted to Islam at gunpoint.

So some of them decided to attack the ambulance and take a perceived enemy or two off the board even as the Israelis were trying to save them.

In the politico-religious mess that is boiling in that region, I guess it makes as much sense as anything else. Unfortunately this happened in Israel.

Israel is one of the top five happiest countries in the world, according to a new Better Life Index report by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

“Israelis are more satisfied with their lives than the OECD average. When asked to rate their general satisfaction with life on a scale from 0 to 10, Israelis gave it a 7.4 grade, higher than the OECD average of 6.6,” reads the report.

Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, and Finland took the top four spots in global happiness. The United States did not crack the top 10 for the fifth consecutive year.

Behind The Scenes

The reason for Obama's fury at Israel is uncovered. Netanyahu spilled the secret beans that Obama was cooking with Iran.

Although Netanyahu’s Likud Party only won about half the number of seats needed to secure a majority in Israel’s parliament, it did so much better than anyone (including Bibi) expected that he seems to have triumphed in the goal he had set for himself last December when he broke up the government he had formed in 2013 and called new elections.

Obama Defends Iran Nuclear Weapons Development?

The Bethlehem-based news agency Ma’an has cited a Kuwaiti newspaper report Saturday, that US President Barack Obama thwarted an Israeli military attack against Iran's nuclear facilities in 2014 by threatening to shoot down Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Following Obama's threat, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was reportedly forced to abort the planned Iran attack.

According to Al-Jarida, the Netanyahu government took the decision to strike Iran some time in 2014 soon after Israel had discovered the United States and Iran had been involved in secret talks over Iran’s nuclear program and were about to sign an agreement in that regard behind Israel's back.

The report claimed that an unnamed Israeli minister who has good ties with the US administration revealed the attack plan to Secretary of State John Kerry, and that Obama then threatened to shoot down the Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Al-Jarida quoted "well-placed" sources as saying that Netanyahu, along with Minister of Defense Moshe Yaalon, and then-Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, had decided to carry out airstrikes against Iran's nuclear program after consultations with top security commanders.

Mohammed's Mole People may be at it again. This time from the north, from Lebanon.

The Chief of the Northern Command, Major General Yair Golan, met last month with the mayors of communities near Lebanon and addressed concerns from residents that Hezbollah is actively digging tunnels toward Israel.

Golan said that the IDF is prepared to deal with any attempt to act against the inhabitants of the region, including against Hezbollah. However, no security protocols have been enacted yet to actively combat the problem.

But despite statements by military leaders, sources say that, quietly, the IDF acknowledges a very real threat from terror tunnels in southern Lebanon and has not ruled out the possibility of their existence, Arutz Sheva learned Wednesday.

Reservists who have recently arrived to serve the Lebanese border told Arutz Sheva that their own IDF officers have great concern for the presence of tunnels from Lebanon to Israel, and that instructions were given along the northern borders to dig to search for such tunnels.

The IDF decided to contact the local military outpost on the Lebanese border as well, due to high fears of the presence of a tunnel just below the military post and that Hezbollah terrorists could decide to blow up the tunnel, causing mass casualties.

Soldiers also stated that Hezbollah terrorists have come very close to Israel's borders before, during infiltration attempts, and that "they know everything they need to know" to launch an attack.

Thanks, But No Thanks

SecState Lurch was politely, but firmly and repeatedly, advised that his presence at any peace talks between the Palestinians and Israel was not needed.

Secretary of State John Kerry offered numerous times to fly to Cairo or Jerusalem to assist in cease-fire negotiations but was told that the sides “didn’t need American mediation,” according to an account of events by Haaretz.

Senior Israeli officials told Haaretz that Kerry offered to come to directly join the talks in each and every call during the attempted brokering of a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas on Monday, but was “politely rejected” by all sides.

It Runs Deep

And thousands showed up in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv, to celebrate.

There, the team got hugs and kisses from PM Benjamin Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres.

Meanwhile, back in Spain, Real Madrid fans took to Twitter, with a hashtag (translated as #F…ingJews) to express their outrage over the defeat, hoping the Israeli team takes a shower after the game…in a gas chamber, and other vicious comments.

Jonathan S.Tobin, writing in Commentary: Spain, Basketball, and Jew Hatred makes this observation:

…the rash of anti-Semitic statements, especially on Twitter, in reaction to the victory of the Israeli squad shouldn’t be dismissed as only the sour reaction of supporters of a losing sports team. That the outcome of a basketball game would lead so many to resort to anti-Semitic language is not an accident or people just blowing off steam. The willingness to invoke traditional stereotypes of Jew-hatred as well as echoes of the Holocaust under these circumstances illustrates not only how deeply entrenched such attitudes are in European culture but the way Israel has become a stand-in for traditional anti-Semitism….

Those Pesky Reactors

You scrimp and save and sweat and worry while raising a young reactor and this is what happens.

Tehran did its utmost to conceal the mystery blast which last week struck the heavy water reactor under construction at Arak in western Iran. It is revealed here for the first time by DebkaFile's intelligence and Iranian sources. The explosion, whether accidental or not, will delay for a second time the reactor’s first test with real fuel. Tehran informed the International Atomic Energy Agency in August of a previous holdup.

The cause of the blast and the extent of the damage it caused have not yet been established. According to the partial information initially reaching our sources, it occurred inside the reactor building when preparations were underway for a test scheduled for this month with artificial fuel and light water. The site of the explosion may have been the large coolant containers and the pressure gauges attached to the reactor’s core.

Iranian Atomic Council experts and intelligence agents are testing four possible causes of the explosion:

1. Sabotage.

3. An error in engineering calculations in the design of the coolant containers which underestimated their strength for standing up to the required level of pressure.
4. The deliberate sale to Iran of inferior steel materials that were not strong enough to withstand such pressure.

It's a shame when a young reactor goes astray.
