GNN - Chicopee - Martha Coakley, Democratic candidate for the Senate seat vacated by the death of Edward Kennedy, continues to offend Massachusetts voters in campaign missteps and gaffes.
GNN Pioneer Valley reporter, J. Barcley Pipes , attended a Chicopee fund-raiser for Coakley, where the band Ozzie and the Rubies played for the assembled young Democrats from the Chicopee metropolitan area. The group, seen here, is a retro-rock group unknown to the young attendees, and their stylistic mannerisms were widely regarded as dated and irrelevant.
The group's front man, who calls himself Ozzie, and bears a resemblance to Michael Stipe, late of REM, said that Martha Coakley personally engaged his group's musical services.
When asked if her musical tastes were disconnected from the young Democrats at the fund raiser, Coakley said, "What the fu**! I gotta apologize to Fenway losers one day, Rosary-bead rubbers in emergency rooms the next, and now I gotta anticipate the tastes of a bunch of !?**#$ing yuppie larvae from the fu***%ing Pioneer *%$##ing Valley? Heh! In your fu****ing dreams!"

Rhod, Is this sarchasim or a real?
I really cannot tell due to the incompetence Coakley has thus far shown.
It's real sarcasm, Christopher. It's what she would say if she did what she was supposed to have done.
Thanks, It does sound like her but I did not think her to be that stupid as to say it within earshot of a reporter.
Rhod,
I heard the opening act was "Shots From The Grassy Knoll" Not as popular as Ozzie and the Rubies, but just as provocative!
