Killing For Jesus

Leave it to these MSM numbnuts to get their panties in a wad over a model number. Can you believe that ABC assigned "investigators" to look into this? These guys couldn't find their asses in the dark using both hands and a hat pin - as you read the article you'll see that the "Ace" investigative team from ABC states that the Marines have a contract to purchase 800,000 of these sights. The current strength of the Regular Army is a little over 500K, the National Guard is about 350K, Army Reserves about 190K and the USMC authorized strength is about 180K.

ABC News - U.S. Military Weapons Inscribed With Secret 'Jesus' Bible Codes
Pentagon Supplier for Rifle Sights Says It Has 'Always' Added New Testament References

Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the United States military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found.

At the end of the serial number on Trijicon's ACOG gun sight, you can read "JN8:12", a reference to the New Testament book of John, Chapter 8, Verse 12, which reads: "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." The ACOG is widely used by the U.S. military.

The sights are used by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the training of Iraqi and Afghan soldiers. The maker of the sights, Trijicon, has a $660 million multi-year contract to provide up to 800,000 sights to the Marine Corps, and additional contracts to provide sights to the U.S. Army.

The killing-for-Jesus-super-secret-code found on the ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight) is part of the model number as per the following photo:

So, the godbag evil war profiteers are using John 8:12 to identify part numbers? What does John 8:12 say?
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

I guess the implication is that if the ACOG is used properly, the intended target will very shortly see Jesus in a different light - so to speak. Not a bad notion for our enemies in the Near East and elsewhere to take to heart.

A big H/T to Lucianne's; I really liked one of the comments by GOPJihad:

"The ACOG is an outstanding optic and the reason why various so-called "Human Rights" organizations investigated alleged "executions" of jihadis carried out by Marines in Iraq. It was assumed that because so many islamists died with single shots to the head that Marines were summarily executing them, but it was eventually realized that thanks to the ACOG, and Marine Corps marksmanship training, Marines were making head shots with their regular issue M-16A4s at ranges in excess of 300 meters."

This scope is an excellent sighting device that gives our troops a wonderful advantage when engaged in a tactical situation. So of course the MSM is going to squeal about it. Pissants.

I considered buying one of these scopes when I bought my AR15; the ACOG I was looking at goes for about a grand.

That way I can convert my black rifle into what GOPJihad calls, a "Jesus Rifle."

Amen and pass the 5.56 please.

I have never met Jesus (that I know of) but I see nothing wrong with being his travel agent - and arranging the meeting for Hajji and the Jihadists.

I need to buy the scope now...

Gah. I would have already owned one of these if I could have afforded it. Instead, I guess I will just have carve it into my stock.

What does John 8:12 say?

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Beautiful and timely.

I am fond of this though. This would be my choice for my personal rifle quote.

Romans 13:4

"For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to [execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil."

Uh-Rah.

You underestimate Jesus if you imagine he wasn't packing heat.

Thank God for the atheist media watching out for us Christians!

If someone should be upset, it should be Christians. Well, not that they should be, but that they should be the ones with that option.

As for myself, I understand that God has asked for killing in the past and I am pretty sure He still requires it. God does not change. So, putting the religious into weaponry and components is as healthy as praying before meals. At least, that is how I see it.

Hmm, actually, that gives me an idea. I really ought to have something, say a set of crucifixes, bible quotes or references, or such on all of my guns. Not only will it be there for me to help ensure I use the tools for their intended purposes (whether that is bringing food to the table or defending righteousness), but it will be there as a testament to God even when others are around my tools or when, in time, those tools are passed on.

Thank God for some companies who still understand and are attentive to the literally finer details.

Nothing like covering the big issues, eh? Haven't heard much about Kenneth Gladney, or Kevin Jennings, etc. from the MSM...they continue to prove themselves increasingly irrelevant.

I'd buy one!
Doesn't this crazy media have anything else to talk about. I think Jesus would approve. He urged all his followers to "Spread the gospel far and wide".

As an added delight, they should coat the bullets in pig grease.

Our troops have had a Trilux x4 sight as standard fit on the SA80 for quite a few years - but are just taking stock of the latest infantry issue rifle and hey, it's in 7.62, well I never...
but our press don't seem to have cottoned on yet. I suspect that some newshungry dickhead journo will discover that the 13 figure model number, if converted to the numbers from the alphabet and re-arranged, may well spell `eat this sucker`.
