Hopefully Their Army Works Better Than Their Navy

In response to apparent Russian provocation, the Brits are beefing up their military presence in Estonia.
British troops began a long-term deployment to Estonia on Saturday as Germany’s intelligence chief warned Russia had doubled its military presence on its Western border.

An advanced contingent of 120 British soldiers landed at Estonia’s Amari airbase late on Friday night as part of a new Nato deployment designed to deter Russia from attempting a repeat of its invasions of Crimea and Eastern Ukraine in the Baltic.

Eight hundred British troops with Challenger 2 tanks, AS90 self-propelled guns, and Warrior armoured vehicles, will be based in the town of Tapa, 80 miles from the Russian border, from next month.
This is part of a planned exercise with French and other NATO forces in Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. Additional British troops will be sent to Poland to augment American forces already stationed there.

As far as the readiness of the best warships in Her Majesty's Navy, go here.  Unfortunately our own navy apparently isn't in much better shape.

So this Mexican criminal kills someone in Tennessee (manslaughter, not murder), does 9 months in jail, is deported and gets caught trying to enter the US again?

TUCSON, Ariz. — Border Patrol agents have arrested a Mexican man who had been deported from the United States last month after serving a prison term for reckless homicide in Tennessee.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say 26-year-old Genaro Galvan-Mora was taken into custody Wednesday evening near Nogales, Arizona.

Authorities learned of his previous conviction during processing.

They say a records check showed Galvan-Mora was convicted in May 2016 on a reckless homicide charge in Loudon County, Tennessee.

He was deported on Feb. 27 after serving a nine-month prison sentence.
Story here. This clown shot someone while playing Russian Roulette. Mora pulled the trigger while the gun was against the victim's head.

Sounds more like an execution to me. Isn't the guy holding the gun supposed to put the barrel against his own head?
A Loudon man was arrested on a reckless homicide charge after a deadly game of Russian Roulette. Genaro Galvan Mora, 23, was released on $10,000 bond in the death of 25-year-old Diego Armondo Cisneros Fonseca, also of Loudon.
Is this Tijuana Roulette?

Apparently Kaepernick Is Dead To The NFL

Colin Kaepernick better have some good connections in the Canadian Football League because he's probably gonna find it tough getting another job in the NFL.

You may indeed ask "Why, pray tell, would a free agent social justice wannabe quarterback find it difficult to secure a lucrative appointment within a professional sports enterprise that is actively seeking the type of talented personnel that said quarterback once typified within his repertoire of skill sets?"

The answer is not difficult to find. The owners and managers of the aforementioned sports enterprises don't trust him, don't like him.
“He can still play at a high level,” an anonymous AFC general manager told Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman. “The problem is three things are happening with him.

“First, some teams genuinely believe that he can’t play. They think he’s shot. I’d put that number around 20 percent.

“Second, some teams fear the backlash from fans after getting him. They think there might be protests or (President) Trump will tweet about the team. I’d say that number is around 10 percent. Then there’s another 10 percent that has a mix of those feelings.

“Third, the rest genuinely hate him and can’t stand what he did [kneeling for the national anthem]. They want nothing to do with him.”

President Trump is "trimming" the federal budget. Let's listen to the screams:
Bureaucrats braved a bad week.

Donald Trump proposes cuts of 29 percent to the State Department, 21 percent to the Departments of Agriculture and Labor, 18 percent to Health and Human Services, and 31 percent to the Environmental Protection Agency in a partial outline of his budget entitled “America First: A Budget Blueprint to Make America Great Again.” Defense, Veterans Affairs, Homeland Security, and programs supporting school choice receive boosts. For pretty much everything else, Trump lowers the boom.
If you don't cut off unproductive limbs on a fruit tree, you don't get good fruit. But this is more like cutting off hunks of gangrenous flesh.

Media Wars

It's true, it's true.
One awwshit cancels out a thousand attaboys.

In a stunning reversal of fortune, Trump supporters are now calling for a boycott of McDonald's fast food restaurants in response to a tweet mocking the President.

Apparently the McDonald's twitter account was hacked and an insulting tweet was pinned to their site.

Just a few days ago, a McDonald's employee was hailed as a hero for jumping through a service window to assist an unconscious off duty Miami police officer.

McDonald's boycott here. Of course there is now #BoycottMcDonalds.

Buh Bye Big Bird

President Trump announced that his budget for the fed's 2017-18 fiscal year will not contain funding for several iconic liberal programs.

These programs include Public Broadcasting System (PBS), National Public Radio (NPR), the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as well as the Smithsonian and the National Galleries.
President Donald Trump made good on a long-time conservative goal in his first proposed budget Thursday morning, targeting the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the National Endowments for the Arts and Humanities for complete elimination.

Trump’s budget would zero out the $445 million budget for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a substantial source of funding for programming and broadcast operations on public TV stations and NPR radio stations nationwide, per the Washington Post.

[...]Additional cuts would affect two tourist mainstays in Washington, D.C., the Smithsonian Institution and the National Gallery of Art.
I'd prefer funding for the Smithsonian and the National Galleries to continue.

Three Hours Of Shoveling

"No problem," the weather experts said.
"Only 4 to 6 inches in Syracuse," the experts said.
"NYC is going to get clobbered," the experts said.
Right...
Idiots can't give an accurate forecast 24 hours in the future and yet they still tell us what the weather's going to be like twenty years from now.

We're getting another 6" to 8" by tomorrow.
So far this year we've had 130" of the white stuff. My snow blower is kaput.

With Allies Like This...

I assume the Brits, like everyone else, thought Hillary Clinton was a shoo in so they went along with a request from US intelligence sources. Their mission, should they accept it, is to lift the skirts of Trump's electronic communications and have a looksee at The Donald's goodies.

"This'll put us in good with the Yanks", says they, "and after the election Winnie's bust will soon be back where it belongs, in the White House, glaring at that dreadful, horse-faced lesbian. Cheerio!"
Fox News Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano claimed “three intelligence sources” say President Obama looked to British spy agency GCHQ to obtain transcripts of conversations involving President Donald Trump on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday.

[..]He used GCHQ. What the heck is GCHQ? That’s the initials for the British spying agency. They have 24/7 access to the NSA database. So by simply having two people go to them saying, ‘President Obama needs transcripts of conversations involving candidate Trump, conversations involving president-elect Trump,’ he’s able to get it, and there’s no American fingerprints on this.”
No one is sure what Trump will do in the best of circumstances. Lord only knows how he will take the Brits to task for this.

Story here.

And of course the Brits enter the frey, they say, "Nay, no way Jose":
A spokesperson for the British government is speaking out several hours after Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano claimed that “three intelligence sources” informed him that former President Barack Obama employed the British intel service to spy on then-candidate Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election.

“No part of this story is true,” the spokesperson told The Blaze Tuesday afternoon.
Their response here.

The Pink Slime Lawsuit Against ABC Stands

From the WSJ:
A judge in South Dakota has cleared the way to trial of a lawsuit claiming ABC News “pink slime” coverage caused $1.9 billion of damage to the business of Beef Products Inc., which makes the meat product tagged with the term.

Judge Cheryle Gering threw out defamation claims against anchor Diane Sawyer but left standing accusations against ABC News and multiple Emmy award-winning journalist, Jim Avila.

Judge Gering, in rejecting ABC’s bid to have the case dismissed, said a jury could find the network was pursuing “a negative spin” on the story before conducting any research and that Mr. Avila had an anti-meat-industry agenda.
Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of people. Unfortunately the suit against Diane Lyin' Sawyer was thrown out.

My sister was interviewed by Sawyer back in either 1989 or 1990. She was the regional rep for an anti-abortion organization and was invited to be interviewed on 60 Minutes. The producer sent a limo out to eastern Long Island to pick her up and bring her to Manhattan.

There was  a studio audience present and the interview lasted almost an hour. She said that it was clear that Sawyer was out to embarrass her and tried every trick in the book to make her look bad.

My sister is one of the sweetest and most reasonable gals on the planet and it didn't work. She called me soon after and told me what transpired. A few weeks later she learned that her interview would not be aired. We weren't surprised. Sis makes a very compelling narrative against abortion and Sawyer et al. would not allow this to be shown to the public.

Sis is still very active in pro-life circles down in Maryland.

Dinner With The Afghan Ambassador

A reporter for the Independent Journal Review was invited to participate in a dinner given by Afghanistan's Ambassador to the US, Dr. Hamdullah Mohib. This was a Gold Star dinner for the wives of US servicemen who were KIA in Afghanistan.
Over the course of the evening, Dr. Mohib led a vibrant, gracious conversation about the struggles of his home country and displayed deep appreciation to the family members of the Americans lost on its soil.
Dr. Mohib was asked to give his opinion on the differences between President Trump and the previous administration. His response stunned his audience.
The Obama administration was the most academic administration we have ever had to deal with but the Trump administration has been the most thoughtful and intelligent.

Trump continually asked “How can you win? What does Afghanistan need to win?” in reference to our fight with terrorism. Trump wants to win. Sincerely. All the Obama administration wanted to do was not lose.

The Obama administration was hesitant with us. The enemy could sense that. When the Obama administration announced its plans to pull troops out of the region, they announced the exact date they would do it. All our enemies had to do was wait ...
The Ambassador was optimistic in his appraisal of his country's future with American assistance under the leadership of President Trump.
This is good, for the future of Afghanistan.
Of course the Ambassador is not about to say that he thinks Trump is an idiot. He wouldn't do that to the previous administration even if he thought so. But his remarks are somewhat revealing.

The Victims Of Illegal Aliens Finally Have A V.O.I.C.E.

In one of his first acts as President, Donald Trump issued an executive order ending years of liberal advocacy for criminal aliens. From the National Review:
The “Office for Victims of Crimes Committed by Removable Aliens,” now called “Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE),” was created by an executive order on immigration enforcement on January 25 and enhanced in a memorandum by DHS secretary John Kelly on February 20. VOICE is a very appropriate name for this office. For years American families victimized by illegal aliens have been ignored. Because of the misuse of “privacy” rules and indifference, they have been unable to find out whether the criminals who attacked their family members were in the country legally or illegally, or even whether the aliens were incarcerated, deported, or set free.
This class of victims finally joins the ranks of those who have suffered loss at the hands of citizen criminals. Funds for this effort are channeled through programs that previously aided criminal aliens under the Obama administration. Taxpayer funds will no longer be available for the following:
  • In the past two years, the Obama Administration spent $9 million of taxpayer money to provide attorneys to illegal aliens.
  • DHS had previously offered hotlines to help illegal aliens seeking executive amnesty and enable complaints against those seeking to enforce U.S. immigration law, and even opened an illegal alien advocate office.
  • Even today, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) still advertises safe zones (“sensitive locations”) – such as school bus stops, health clinics and parades - where illegal aliens will be free from enforcement actions.
There are other victim assistance programs available through the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC). This is a program administered by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The Crime Victims Fund was established under the 1984 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) to help victims of crime. One of the goals of this funding was to keep crime victims appraised of the progress of prosecutions involving their assailant. I administered one of these programs that operated on a county-wide basis and can testify as to their advocacy for victims and the assistance they provide.

Apparently the same level of assistance was not extended to federal prosecutions involving criminal aliens.  Indeed, under Obama the deportation of criminal aliens was replaced by their release back into society.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement released 90,000 illegal aliens back onto the streets that were deemed as criminal threats in 2015. The massive release was a result of Pres. Obama’s Priority Enforcement Program that puts the focus only on criminal aliens who pose a "serious" threat.

In fiscal year 2015 ICE encountered 152,393 illegal criminal aliens, mostly through local jails, but only charged 64,116. According to Jessica Vaughan, Director of Policy Studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, around 88,000 were not even processed for deportation.
If the crime occurred in one of the 300 sanctuary cities, the crime may not have been reported to ICE and the suspect alien not remanded to federal custody as required;  the numbers quoted above may be greater as the accuracy of these statistics is dependent upon the cooperation of local jurisdictions.

Hopefully this situation has been rectified by Trump's executive order and the issue of sanctuary cities will soon be addressed.

Again and again I am amazed at the perfidy and stupidity of the Democrats.Stupidity on the part of its voter block and the perfidy of its leaders.

The past eight years have been disastrous for America under the guise of leadership from a man who never really held a job, who fought to conceal his birth circumstances and more than doubled the national debt. Yet sixty some odd million people voted for a woman who would have continued the same policies that have bankrupted this nation financially, morally and spiritually.

Our military strength is at it's lowest in decades at a point in time when the world is at its most dangerous. The US Treasury has been looted for social justice and globalist interests. Our borders resembled a sieve rather than a protective wall. Many of our public schools are a shambles. Our most dangerous technologies have been stolen and duplicated in countries that have openly threatened us.

He has come under a consistent, scurrilous attack orchestrated by, for the most part, unelected bureaucrats who represent not the American public, but their own political interests.
