The Obama Agenda

The Wordsmith has written a brief blog entry that is surely the first chapter of Obama's political eulogy. Visit his blog for a healthy dose of Conservatism.

It usually doesn't happen this quickly in Washington. But President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats are finding that the old maxim that what goes around, comes around applies to them, too. Less than six months into his term, Mr. Obama's top initiatives -- health-care reform and "cap and trade" energy legislation -- are in serious jeopardy and he has himself and his congressional allies to blame.

It's time for Congress to totally drop the the leftist 'agenda of Obama' with finality!

Obama is ruining healthcare, ruining the economy with 'cap and trade', making paupers out of Americans with huge tax increases.

We're lucky that "Cool" the community organizer is too stupid to realize he's not in Chicago anymore. I hope his arrogant and naive tactics continue...next step is to start threatining voters (he started on Friday's no questions presser).

We always knew that we had to suffer the consequences of failed leftism before we got back on track. Goodbye leftists, in six months you've done more for conservatism than any conservative could ever had hoped for.

Reagan was the answer to Carter's idiocy. But we HAVE to save health care NOW. We can't get it back 3.5 years from now. Punishing taxes can be reversed. Broken health care will be forever.

Nickie, thank you for the wordsmith link. I enjoyed it very much !

Opie, when the doctors are gone, and private insurance is gone, someone will have to reinvent what we already have.

You're right, it ain't gonna happen.

Thanks, Woodsy...

Obama is the original flim flam man. The only good thing he's done for America is to breathe life back into the conservative movement. Retribution is coming and it starts in 2010.

I always read his blog, And I'm very proud him for the way he defends America.

PS I always ready your blog as well.

Agree with Wordsmiths' ideology, of course, but not his nod to the methodology of ... "Let the Demos burn the country down; then we'll get some good conservatives in there to fix it."

What we are seeing right now (as a result of conservatives sitting on their hands, the ineptitude of the McCain campaign, the economic collapse in October, etc.) is that the Demos are danger-close to taking over health care. Why? Not enough Republicans left in Congress. Period. Why? Republicans didn't govern like Republicans, so we replaced them with ... Democrats. Yeah, that's better! I feel better already. We taught ourselves ... my kids ... our military fighting jihadis ... a lesson. Good thinkin'.

The way to fix Republican problems is during primaries. Once you get out of "conference play", so to speak, the Demos are playing for keeps and so should we. The country is still not out of the woods. If Obama blows it and we are able to save health care, it won't have become a "good thing" to have Pres. Disaster and a and a drunken, Demo-controlled congress at the helm at the same time.

It's somewhat akin to crashing an airplane to emphasize safety training in the future ... which is not so bad (I guess) if you are on the ground.

But we are on the plane ... still.

Opus #6 said...

DC, I could not have said it better. We are on the plane indeed. This is why I still burn with rage at so-called Republicans who voted for Obama. Whatever point they were trying to make, was it worth the destruction of our Republic?

Opus ... Amen, sister and amen.

I've talked about this whole concept a lot, aka the "perfect church syndrome". That is, if you find a perfect church, don't join it b/c you'll ruin it. Political parties, candidates, any human being is imperfect. We make imperfect choices in life.

So, with an admittedly imperfect Republican Party in need of a wakeup on a number of fronts, we trade it in for ... Socialism?!? What??!! Change alright.

But fear not, Numero Seis. In not too long, we will likely have a hard time finding Obama voters. Same thing happenened with Carter voters.

If it turns out okay, the "pilots" who have had us on board while they practice buzzing the tower to test our faith should take no solace in the fact that we are secure in our salvation.

Opus #6 said...

Those pilots had better watch it, DC. We are not complacent any more. We rememner the heroes of flight 93 and we are ready to "roll"!

You are so right, Opie. As some one who has dodged a few arrows in my day (see picture), I know what it means to be narrowly missed (and occasionally, okay often get hit by) enemy arrows. Your attitude makes my heart well up with pride.

Yes, the thought of rolling Nick in his wheel chair up the aisle against the enemies of freedom just fires me up!

"Watch out, Nick!! He's trying to take this thing to the ground!! AHHHHHH!!! Come back here, Nick!!" ...

{eyes wide}Nickie is in a wheelchair??? Funny, it doesn't look like it from his picture. I'm so sorry to hear that. Is there anything that I can do? Is it just his legs? Or does his paralysis extend farther????

You are a true friend, DC. I can see that Nickie is lucky to have you.

You are right Wordsmith is great.
Thanks for the referral.

Seis,

Yes, Nick and I are old blogbrothers. One time he reportedly went on to the nether-regions, but he's back now. Like the Mafia, we don't ask questions. The wheelchair reference is a jab re: his age. But it's fun to think about. Maybe some time on the internets I will tell you more Nick stories.

We go back to 2004 and have had some grand ol' blog times together. We are personally responsible for the defeat of John Kerry. When we got through with Kerry, he was calling for the Swift Boat Vets for some comfort.

And I will be back in 2010, too, when I have the time/energy to focus on things. For now, it's fun to just make trouble here.

There are always great people that hang out @ Nick's place. It's a great balance of fun, truth, and common sense. This is where I met Rhod and Mark, too.

So ... there you go.

Rhod said...

And although he won't say it, Opie, DC is a Marine.

Goomba was a Royal Lancer, did some time with "nothing is written" T.E. Lawrence, and was Kitchener's batman.

He's old as hell.

Tik-chik...

I gotta admit, retribution rings true. Thanks for visiting.

Anonymous said...

Julie, It's about time for the Conservative movement to stop depending on RINOs to carry our banner. Our time has come.

Anonymous said...

Mr. Walker...

Thanks for the visit. It sure is nice when Conservative voices are heard on the internets. I'm proud when folks like Julie and you wander over for a visit.

Let's continue to battle against this corrupt presidency.

Opie and DC, get a room.

My greatest fear is that I'm edging up on that damned "World's Oldest Man" title. Have you ever heard of such a death sentence?

It may be my imagination, but it seems that the WOM seems to shuffle off his mortal coil at least twice a week.

Rhod, I never met the guy. The title "Goomba of Khartoum" was earned during my years as a Guhwah distributor in that capital city.

Nickie, you remind me that the best part of politics is the victory. Let's get one... a Big one.

Anonymous said...

Opie,

Your concern for my well-being is heartening. A few years back, I faced some family tragedies that made me question my willingness to continue facing dawns. Years of battling mean-spirited demons left me tired and introspective.

Then, Obama pissed me off. How dare he be President and not honor our history, our traditions and our heroes? The time for self-pity had passed. It was time to leave the pig farm, strap on the peacemaker and walk to town in the knowledge that DC would have my horse all saddled up.

Anonymous said...

Yes, Kemosabe, even when we are surrounded by hostile Indians.

Opus #6 said...

Nickie, about that room. DC and I thought of that, but it was already full of corset-clad women. Huh!

Rhod, there you are! Nice to see you. Your reminiscences are alway instructive.

Nickie, nothing is more heartening than being needed. America needs patriots now more than ever in our lifetime. I have to believe that we make a difference. Without our voices, the MSM stands alone, unchallenged. The Tea Party movement is fueled SOLELY from the internet. Nobody else has promoted it. Internet news now captures 20% of the news market, fully as much as television. So, in a way, we are our own little cable channel. Folks can tune in to get the Goomba spin on things. The ideas resurface in the barber shop and grocery store and on street corners, wherever people talk politics. What about the woman in red at that townhall meeting? Where did she get her notions about Obama's birth certificate? Americans are getting fired up and this is only the beginning!

Anonymous said...

As Rhod always says... "You go, girl!"

Anonymous said...

Oh, man ... I would be careful, Nick. For a comment like that, Rhod might low crawl all the way from CT to your place w/ a bayonet in his teeth.

Anonymous said...

Riding his Rascal from CT with a chopstick tucked behind his tooth, more like it.

None of us are getting any younger.

Anonymous said...

What you mean "we", Kemosabe?

Rhod said...

I've low crawled my skin to ribbons. When I was in we called it the Alligator Crawl, because we crawled over alligators. Things were different then, and harder. I could do it again but for this prescription corset, the prostheses and the lack of alligators.

Goomba's deeply hurtful hiss about my tooth precedes one of the worst tense errors of all time...."none" with "are". One of the great amateurs' mistakes..Underestimating your opponent with poor grammar.

We taught him better in both instances at Cambridge. (He was the Seventh Pillar of Wisdom in the common room, until the dreadful Waugh affair).

DC knows what I mean.

Opie, thanks for the greeting. Still alive here.

Goomba need not respond...

Rhod said...

...and ignore my own misplaced modifier.

Anonymous said...

I do think he could still low crawl from CT, Nick.

Well done, Rhod.

Let the record reflect that corsets have been mentioned several times in this thread and not by me ... until now.
