Let's all get smart and use government mass transit and government heath care.

Environmentalists, Marxist-Progressives, government agencies, and an army of nosey nanny do-gooders continue to be puzzled by Americans' reluctance to depend on subsidized public transit.

Take a look at this video and imagine your medical waiting room in ten years.

WTF ... Nickie, I'm ready to jump on that bus to administer a little Obama style healthcare.

Oh sure, Odie. You're on that bus headed for the Peppermill Casino.

Interesting non-reaction from the other passengers.
There are frequent news reports of assaults in UK NHS A&E (ER) departments, usually because both sides from an earlier fight end up in the same place. Not much trouble at my local one because there is a Police Station located within it.

London chose to be nice to the kiddies and gave them free transport on the buses which is why the top decks have become no-go areas after dark.

Banned- you are absolutely correct. Both sides show up and all hell breaks loose.

I loved the ER brohahas that would break out in my old terrority (it had four hospitals). These people, always minorities, had no regard for any innocent bystanders - just pure unadulterated hatred and in-your-face violent confrontation. No sense of propriety, no self control. We took great pleasure in ensuring that most of the participants usually required the services of an ER once we got them "calmed down." This also resulted in many pleasant after work police/nurse hook ups.

Nickie - it all boils down to the lowest common denominator abusing free services. They demand instant gratification for the merest trifle and take great offense if their demands are not met immediately.

When I was younger living in Salt Lake, my car broke down and used public transportation for a while. I hated it! Your life revolved around there schedule, and the bus had some weird folks.

At Manchester High School here in CT, there was a 20-student brawl between a black gang and a "Latino" gang.

Authorities promised to "get to the bottom of it", as if the reasons were mysterious and the event itself was simply random.

Billions of dollars have been spent analyzing gang dynamics, but the educrats need to find a reason for the brawl - which is just a routine way to neutralize evidence of the obvious and avoid the necessity to do something meaningful about it.

In another life I briefly worked as a counselor in a half-way house for juvenile offenders on parole from detention facilities. The hard truth is, most of our subjects went on to offend as adults, and all the state could do was follow them from crime to crime.

It's not a social or economic or educational problem that feeds these pathologies, it's a moral problem, period. You either instill a kid with a code when they're tiny and pliable, or you don't. If you don't, you have a roaming savage for at least 20 years, maybe longer. By adolescence it's too late.

Rhod - exactamondo. Now criminal behqvior is being treated as a medical/psycho/social condition. Counselors and mental health therapists are trained to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interview tactics to help felons re-enter society upon release from prison. But it all stems from piss poor single-parenting by mothers who are barely out of childhood themselves, a morally bankrupt popular culture that glorifies gratutitious sex, drugs and violence, fragmented families enabled by out of control welfare spending, and a liberal do gooder juvenile justice system that ain't worth a damn...

Sig, "60 Minutes", when it was still watchable (mid '70's), did a segment on how simple it is for sociopaths to deceive rehabilitation counselors.

For one thing, many or most of the criminals have been in the social welfare system since they were kids, and know the drill.

One interviewee I recall vividly - a lifetime criminal in his 30's said something like this (with a little self-insight)"that money in your pocket is mine, you just happen to have it at the moment. Your wife is my woman, you're just married to her right now..." and things of that nature.

No boundaries, no restraint.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Studies done to figure out why kids grow up to be monsters?.....Good God.

The Greek empire built around Athens died from lack of deciseviness. The Roman empire died from lack of concern.

The American Economic Empire dies from lack of self dicipline.
