Microsoft Planning Release of Windows 10
Windows 10 will be the last major Windows release, with all subsequent updates issued as regular instalments, Microsoft has confirmed.

Developer Jerry Nixon told a crowd at Microsoft's Ignite conference that "Right now we’re releasing Windows 10, and because Windows 10 is the last version of Windows, we’re all still working on Windows 10”.

The company confirmed Mr Nixon's comments in a statement issued to the Verge, emphasising there would continue to be a "long future of Windows innovations".

"Recent comments at Ignite about Windows 10 are reflective of the way Windows will be delivered as a service bringing new innovations and updates in an ongoing manner, with continuous value for our consumer and business customers," a spokesperson said.
I can never figure out if Microsoft products are released, paroled or do they escape all on their own.

Looking For Nemo Nema
It's well known that omega-3 fatty acids found in oily fish are good for our health.

But levels of these fatty acids are relatively low in some of our favourite foods, such as beef.

Now researchers have managed to rear beef rich in fatty acids associated with fish oils by introducing a gene - isolated from a nematode worm - into cattle foetal cells.

The study, published in Biotechnology Letters, documents the ‘transgenic’ procedure, and also highlights the difficulty in carrying out transgenic alterations.

‘We have provided the first evidence that it is possible to create a new breed of cattle with higher nutritional value in terms of their fatty acid composition,’ said author Linsen Zan from the College of Animal Science and Technology at Northwest A&F University and the National Beef Cattle Improvement Centre, both in Yangling.
For those who are interested, most nematodes are parasites and they can crap out of both ends. I don't know if the Black Angus will eventually be able to do the same thing.

This is a nematode worm. That round dot on the end is it's mouth/butthole/nose/bellybutton. Or maybe it's the slit... ya got me. Now put horns on it.

Picasso's World Famous "Painting My Sister With Vodka" Sells for $148 Million
Eleven minutes of prolonged bidding from telephone buyers preceded the final sale - for much more than its pre-sale estimate of $140m.

The previous world record for a painting sold at auction was $142.4m, for British painter Francis Bacon's Three Studies of Lucian Freud.

That sold at Christie's in 2013.

The oil painting is a vibrant depiction of nude and semi-nude women, and is part of a 15-work series Picasso created in 1954-55 designated with the letters A through O.

The final price of $179,365,000 includes Christie's commission of just over 12%.
This was a sad day in our household. I stayed with it for the first ten minutes, but eventually I was out bid.

Yeah, I really need to figure out how to get into linux, as a starter. What microtheft is saying, is that to use their products, you will have to give them your wallet. They will take what they think is fair, and give you the remainder. Further, you will have to be online all the time. Oh, and they will know everything you do, more so than now. Yeah, no.

As for the painting? That is rich people trying like hell to shove money into anything they think might hold some value. Because money is becoming worthless so fast that banks in Europe, and coming here soon, will begin charging customers to hold it for them, and are offering negative interest rates for loans. Empty houses and condos, paintings, though it looks like they realized gold was a problem (and that gold and other precious metals are artificial currencies at this point, kept from going too high or low, but subject to the big fish so very dangerous for most).

All the more reason to get up, push, and look for a way out. Bureaucracy won't last very long, doesn't need to. Look for 'nobles and royals', and their henchmen. If you learn anything about these times, you learn that those classes prefer major metros. Queen Elizabeth turned England into one of the first police states, that became more hellish the further into London one got. It's always been that way with such tyrannies. Though some regions are better to escape altogether than others. I thought Alaska might be a place to go, and will still check, but they seem to be extremely deep in debt (oil price drop cut them hard). Still, a state too deep in debt to do much can be a good thing, unless the bureaucrats figure out how to bleed people dry, and pols have to will do let them. Still, bureaucrats and the others won't spend much money playing king to outlying areas. Besides, it's risky in more ways than one.
