Obama's Spies

These idiots just never learn. Trump makes a supposedly outrageous statement, the dems and their puppet media go crazy, and then they get it stuffed down their throats. CNN (who else?) starts the parade:
President Donald Trump made a stunning claim Saturday, alleging without offering evidence that his predecessor, Barack Obama, wiretapped his phones at Trump Tower ahead of the 2016 election.
Counter claims of "No proof! No proof!" are quickly voiced by the usual coterie of anonymous former Obama officials.
But two former senior US officials quickly dismissed Trump's accusations out of hand.

"Just nonsense," said one former senior US intelligence official.

Another former senior US official with direct knowledge of investigations by the Justice Department under the Obama administration said Trump's phones were never tapped.

"This did not happen. It is false. Wrong," the former official told CNN.
But apparently there was indeed a wiretap, an eavesdropping warrant, approved last October in order to examine the activity of several persons in the Trump campaign. From Breitbart:
A number of ex-Obama officials appear to suggest that the Obama administration may have actually wiretapped the Trump campaign, but that if they did it would have been justified by a court and part of an investigation by the Justice Department—not led by or ordered from the White House or the former president himself.

On Saturday, former President Obama’s spokesman Kevin Lewis denied that the former White House or the former President himself would have given such an order to wiretap Trump Tower—or any other type of surveillance in any case—but that such an order would have come from an “independent investigation led by the Department of Justice.”

And once again the Donald knows what he is talking about.

President Trump Rope-A-Doping The Media

This American Thinker article pretty much speaks my mind when it comes to Trumpisms.

I admit, President Trump does come out with a cringe-worthy remark/tweet every now and then (maybe more often than that) but that's just the Queens (NYC) in him sneaking out. It's irrepressible. I've heard guys like this before and it doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when a President mouths politically correct nonsense on one hand and outright lies on the other and then does his best to destroy America with the media applauding every step of the way.

Unlike prior Republican Presidents, Trump's got the media on the run and they don't like it. Not since the days of Ronald Reagan has the media been staggered by a presidential rope-a-dope. He is his own man and, unlike his predecessors, he speaks his mind regardless of  how the media screams:
  • Certainly not George W. Bush, who let them hammer him into a dismal 28% approval rating over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the weapons of mass destruction, Abu Ghraib, the banking crisis, etc.
  • Certainly not John McCain, who let the liberal media cast him as an old, out-of-touch, nervous candidate with a nutcase for his VP running mate.
  • And certainly not Mitt Romney, who let Candy Crowley and Obama roll him like a street drunk over Benghazi and the “terrorism” word in their second Presidential debate, on foreign policy.
It is amazing how his approval ratings remain stable despite the media's relentless attacks on him. This speaks to the trust that his supporters have in him and his efforts to maintain that relationship. More importantly, it speaks to the nation's distrust of the media and he is faithful in his efforts to hammer them over and over again.
Rasmussen had him at 52% approval last week, a very good mark for any president, and one that’s particularly astonishing in light of the unprecedented, unrelenting liberal attacks on him. He’s doing more, sooner, than any president in recent memory. He speaks directly to the issues that matter to the people and he says what he’ll do without equivocation, doubletalk or dancing.
It doesn't appear that he will change his delivery. It has worked for him in business and in politics and he sees no reason to switch gears. He communicates directly with the American people and by doing so he by passes the liberal media filters. "Fake News" was a master piece, a simple slap in the face that resounds every time he uses it. It has left a mark.

The Media Lies ... Are We Surprised?

Trump is right. The media lied about the inauguration attendance.
The New York Times and Trump Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, appear to be in an argument over the crowd attending the President Trump inauguration. In the politicized era of jaw-dropping media bias, fake news and constructed Potemkin villages, does this come as a surprise.
The picture used to show a meager turn out was taken before the ceremony started. Delays caused by federal security personnel in allowing the crowd to enter the mall made the initial sparse observations. Later observations show that the mall was completely filled.

Story here.
