War allows government to take power. We all sacrifice our liberty for the sake of the 'common good' in a crisis situation. However the rules never go back to pre-war conditions once the war has passed.

I recall a situation following September 11, 2001 when a senior member of the US Administration told me that the 'War on Terror' would be a never-ending war, because there would always be terrorists "out there". This provided a justification for the "Patriot Act", which in itself provided an assault on the Bill of Rights. We really didn't need a Patriot Act because good investigation would yield the same results as actions utilizing the Patriot Act power would, without a need to stretch the Bill of Rights to the breaking point. However good investigators are hard to come by and the Federal Government had no interest in promoting skill sets that operated within the bounds circumscribed by the Constitution.

The consolidation of power that we see within the Federal Government is not necessary and BOTH political parties are promoting it. Party factionalism between Republican and Democrat is just a little stupid when you take a look at both of them. They BOTH promote a massive central government with out-of-control spending. True, the Barack Hussein Obama Administration has taken it all to an obscene level as he merges General Electric with the Federal Government, takes over car companies, banks and works hard to make us all central government slaves for jobs, healthcare, food, etc.

The founding fathers limited government for a reason when they wrote the Constitution. They FEDERATED government to diffuse power among many so it would not become centralized. State's Rights more or less went away in the mid-1800's and they continue to erode to the point where it's difficult to see where one state ends and the other begins. (California is still the state of fruits and nuts)

Both parties have betrayed us. Both have promoted big government. Both have laughingly worked to erode liberty. And you have to give them credit. They've been effective.

Where we go from here is anyone's guess, but the trend isn't pretty. "The ideal set up by the Party was something huge, terrible, and glittering—a world of steel and concrete, of monstrous machines and terrifying weapons—a nation of warriors and fanatics, marching forward in perfect unity, all thinking the same thoughts and shouting the same slogans, perpetually working, fighting, triumphing, persecuting—three hundred million people all with the same face." - 1984

The American people can no longer sit back and watch our freedoms be taken away one by one! The time for revolution is here!

This must be done now! I pray it can be done without bloodshed, but I doubt it! The Republic is at stake, we must stand up and fight!

By the time the sheeple get and understand your message, It will be all over for the Republic except for the work of the Einsatzkommando's.

I wish I could say otherwise, but the wolf to sheep ratio is just to far gone. I will not go quitely into the night, but trainloads will.

Toaster,

I saw a sign at the 9/12 Rally in DC that stated, "A NATION of SHEEPLE WILL BE RUN BY WOLVES"

Once again "We The People" must stand up now and be unafraid! Our Republic is I believe in IT's Darkest Hour! The need for True Patriots is NOW!

When I say "Lock & Load" this is not an idle threat! This my friends is a PROMISE!

Excellent post. We must go back to our founding principles. They were written down for a reason.

I'm with Toaster on this one. There is little intellectual curiosity left in the populace. They've reached the 'please make it feel good' stage.

They are truly the frogs in the pot.

(L)... With many of us aware that the Internet allows us all to be watched, millions nod silently in agreement.

Ayn Rand pointed out that the greatest evil in the world is Altruism.

Fully agree with the fact that both party's have stabbed us in the back for our own "good".

Lawyers should be barred from serving as Representatives and Senators.

**applauds**

I left the Republican party and became a Libertarian. They are no longer living up to their name "REPUBLICan". They are nothing more than the Democrats of twenty years ago.

Barco Sin Vela II - By changing the legislature from a body of scheming lawyers to a body of elected citizens who convene for the common good, the nation would be turned almost immediately. The only way to do that would be to impose strict term limits on both houses of Congress. Eliminate the provision of "retirement salary for life" after one term in office and many of the trappings of power that our legislatures have vote themselves.

Of course, the Congress won't push THOSE issues.

My stomach use to hurt by the time Fridays came, worrying about all this. Now it just hurts all the time. What we do over the next few months will determine what our kids will have when we are gone. "O" says he will not give up. Well, if it's a game of chicken, I'm not moving. If it's a duel... draw. One group of us will not be here next year.

Obama may not give up, but that doesn't mean he won't go down.

Nickie, it will be survival of attrition. Who can hold out longer. I have no worries we can but patriots have to realize it will be at a great cost. Not to replay the birther issue but you have hannity and beck saying you can't pursue and enforce the Constitution on this because you'll have riots in the streets if it's proven correct. I say GOOD! As citizens it is even MORE important that we take a vow to defend it than those we put in office. One by himself will go to jail. A million of us though are unstoppable.

We're in it for the long haul and it's important that we don't burn out.

The enemy is relentless. Barack Hussein Obama is but one hideous face representing oppression and bondage. There are many - he is legion. Doing nothing results in capitulation for you and your posterity.

It's about the future.

As with the swine that ran into the sea and drowned, let's hope and pray their ideology meets a similar fate. It's not an issue of doing nothing or even growing weary... it's all a matter of do what?

We don't need everyone on board; the Revolutionary War was fought with less than a third of the colonists actively supporting the Continental Army.

We threw the Brits out when it became apparent they were an occupying army, not the armed forces of our sovereign here to protect us.

Look at it this way; the Brits were our best buds during the French & Indian War that lasted from 1754 to 1763.

It took only 12 years, think of it - 12 YEARS! - for us to go from BFF to shooting at them at Bunker Hill in June of 1775.

Obama's only been in orifice for a year and already people are thinking revolution. You can't buy guns or ammo in some areas of the country because the demand is so high.

Let the pot simmer. With that dumbass SOB in office and black-hearted thieves in Congress - we'll get there soon enough. We haven't reached the tipping point yet.

The American Revolution was grounded in dissatisfaction with British tax revenue generating measures. The similarities between the 1760's and today are startling.

"But the Seven Years War gave Britain a strong reason for getting involved: she was left with a debt of £137 million, over half of the budget going towards interest payments, and a garrison force in America which cost £384,000 a year to maintain.[9] The new Grenville ministry of 1763 naturally saw the reduction of this debt as its foremost concern, and decided that part of this would be the collection of a more meaningful contribution from the American colonies. The way in which Grenville decided to do this was to revamp and more aggressively collect existing tariffs on imports and exports in America. The central revised duty was the Sugar Act, a new version of which cut the duty on foreign molasses from 6d to 3d, but created provisions to ensure that it would be collected more vigorously, with British-appointed customs collectors forced to go to their American posts and the act enforced by an admiralty court in Halifax rather than by colonial civil courts."

Obozo's taxing policies are creating the same stir. People are scared, concerned ... worried about their future. And a major factor is government debt.

When you boil it down, once these enormous financial debt chickens come home to roost, the America sheeple will finally wake up. Perhaps before then, but I doubt it.
