They're Either At Your Throat...

...Or At Your Knees...

This post might seem a little unfair, but according to Germany's Der Spiegel, in an article entitled The World Bids Farewell to Obama (see it HERE):

"US President Barack Obama suffered a painful defeat in Massachusetts on Tuesday. With mid-term elections looming, it means that Obama will have to fundamentally re-think his political course. German commentators say it is THE END OF HOPE [!]"

Now, I don't want to be a Grumpy Gus, but the end of hope is the beginning of hopelessness. Just a cursory glance at the exhibition of hopelessness in Germany in the mid 20th century would lead one to think that German MSM drones would be more prudent in their word selection.

First, German hopelessness followed Germany's destruction in the 1914-1918 War. Then it led to other things, like squirming decadence and economic calamity, and its pictorial apex in German Expressionism, which makes the work of Val Luten seem like the work of Peter Max.

Then there was Albert Speer and Leni to revive grandiosity and hope, the little matter of their patrons, and their peccadillo today called World War II, and its vast charnel houses.

If there's one single thing for which I would condemn the blathering buffoon in The White House, it's the thing which cloaks all his other escapades and orthodoxies - the abuse of language in the manipulation and perpetuation of the romantic, fantastic mood already responsible for the pickles we're in. His avalanche of BS does nothing but expand the stupidity and further poison common language. The fool is a dangerous fool. He doesn't communicate, he has an act.

The painting, by the way, is by the hopeless German painter, George Grosz. It's entitled I Am Glad I Came Back, and was painted in 1943 as an allegory about the world of death loosed by German fascism.

And what an act it is. He is a Stalinist David Cooperfield. The act is a rhetorical construct intended to draw your attention away from what is really happening. He waves a rhetorical wand in one hand and picks your pocket with the other.

Sig, I wanted to highlight the same quote.

The term 'One-Trick Pony' has never been more appropriate. I thought the Brown win would be the high point of my week, but that fiasco in Ohio startled me.

The baritone is wearing thin. The excuses are laughable. The dedication to Socialist principles, obvious. The mantle of greatness in tearing away at the seams.

And now he must give his State of the Union speech. Prepare for a crapfest.

Nick,Sig - do you think the SOTU Speech will draw cheers?

The BS avalanche that you note, Rhod, is the natural spewing forth from the crowd where words mean nothing ... the post-modernists. Problem is that there is a fairly large remnant of the population that still expects words to mean things.

It all makes sense to Obama, but he is forced to confront reality which votes otherwise.

Wishing, speaking, hoping, "changing" reality doesn't work.

All I have to see to these guys is ... "It is what it is."

DC, as you know, the dummy is also clueless.

The SOTU speech would be a marvelous, simply outstanding time for the Republicans to act in unison; to rise to their feet, point an accusing finger at Teh One and yell "You lie!" Then turn their backs on the poser and walk out of the chamber. Or they can sit on their butts and harrumph! themselves hoarse while trying to appear noble and concerned.

Myself, I would love to see Joe Wilson scream "Bullshit!" at the top of his lungs over and over and over until he is dragged away in irons while the Rep side of the aisle gives a standing O. But that's just me.

Cheers? Of course those who are addicted to the Koolaid, his syncophants and the weak minded will embrace whatever he has to say as if the SOTU speech were a Sermon and they are sitting on the Mount waiting for the baskets of fish and bread to be passed out.

The MSM, intimidated by the events of the past week, may make an effort to appear to be non-partisan but that will be a mirage.

Of course the Olbermann's of the world will hold a raffle to see who gets to dry hump NostrObozo's leg.

Rahm, Inc. has warned the whips to whip harder. They believe that a rousing show of support by the Dems will sway the American people and reignite the campaign trail passions.

That's the plan. And then the Blue Dogs will scour the polls for a positive signal.

It's not the end of Hope ... It just may be the begining of Hope.

The end of hope for Obama marks the resurgence of hope for American Capitalism and Freedom.

...Count me in because THAT"S entertainment. Other than that highlight, I will be retching in a bucket. The spin coming forth will create more G forces than my tum tum can take. And then, Bleh.
