Obama Plans Back-to-Back-to-Back TV Appearances Sunday

It’s going to be awfully hard to avoid President Obama on television this Sunday.

The President is going to appear on seventeen Sunday showsSEVENTEEN – to press his case for health care, White House officials disclosed. That will be a record. The previous mark of eleven different shows is one day is held by the late Charles Nelson Reilly.

Mr. Obama is going to appear on This Week with George Stephanopoulos on ABC, Meet the Press on NBC, Face the Nation on CBS, and Fox NFL Sunday. Later in the day, he will be making cameo appearances on SpongeBob SquarePants (Nickelodeon), Larry King Live (CNN), Ace of Cakes (Food Network), Masterpiece Mystery (PBS), Family Guy (Fox), The Soup (E!), Tool Academy (MTV) and House Hunters (HGTV).

In an episode of Cops, President Obama will be dragged shirtless from a suburban Las Vegas trailor park demanding to be taken to a single-payer emergency room. On a special edition of This Old House (PBS) Obama will team with 43 SEIU members and 11 Democrat members of Congress to remove an incandescent light bulb from a maternity ward.

The President's final appearance of the day will be offering an "Obama Collection" of knives and fighting swords on local stations nationwide. Newsmakers in the past have managed to pull off the unlikely feat of hitting the big three Sunday interview shows on CBS, NBC and ABC. But this is a presidential first.

If there’s one thing this White House doesn’t seem worried about, it is that Americans will get tired of seeing President Obama. His TV marathon will come after the speech on Wall Street today and a rally in Maryland later this week.

I think, by the time the second day of Rosh Hashana rolls around on Sunday, some Jews may yearn to turn on their TV sets. I doubt that this will be the year for that. What a relief! Obama won't be able to sweet talk Jews this year, which is just as well. After the way he has treated Israel, throwing her to the wolves, he might as well forget it.

He clearly owns the media. I'm sure that eventually we will have only one station to watch and that will, of course be MSNBC. It will screen Dear Leader speeches 24 hours a day.

You won't be able to turn the TV off or adjust the volume.

Dear Leader will have collidascope eyes that will mesmerize you and then you too will love Dear Leader.

You mean he won't be "selling" healthcare on QVC or HSN?

You forgot his cameo on "Lie to Me" where in this episode he is able to baffle the experts but not the common folk.

As long as he doesn't ruin "Man vs. Food" ... with some hokus-pokus re: preventative care by laying off 5-lb. burgers.

Brilliant, Goomba. I was dying. Thanks for the exercise.

Does anyone but me see that all Obama does is nothing but propaganda?

He is always giving interviews, speaking engagements, TV shows, speeches, etc. I'm glad to see that some people are starting to see the light and are regretting that they voted him in.

Oh, I found a scary blog tonight - Is Barack Obama the Messiah? http://obamamessiah.blogspot.com/
I thought it was a joke at first, but it's serious. Pretty disturbing. What's wrong with these people?

I just don't get it. The polls show that he's back to pre-joint session of Congress speech support, so what's he trying to do? Nag us to death?

Even people who like him HAVE to be getting sick to death of him. It's all BO, all the time. Over saturation. I've stopped liking perfectly good songs because they were played in a loop . . . .

And One Ticked Chick, your comment made me laugh out loud! Someone should do that video and post it to YouTube. It'd be hilarious!

Opie,

Israel will survive the battle. There are some forces stronger than President Hussein.

To me, LL, the only Dear Leader of my lifetime was Ronald Reagan. I say that without embarrassment.

Luana,

You are the very first Romanian person to comment on my blog. I am honored to have the opinion of a teacher and someone who enjoys Flaubert.

Your words trouble me. I am afraid that Obama may become our own Ceausescu.

Ticked Chick, he always has the weekdays.

Lynnae, I only blog to please you, m'lady.

Rebel, TLC was all booked up with a marathon of World's Fattest Man episodes. No offense, DC.

Anonymous said...

Rattler, you are correct. I forgot that one.

Anonymous said...

Thanks, DC. Now I can't get my mind off that 5 lb. burger with potato salad on the side.

Tricia... "What's wrong with these people???"

I blame the schools.

Anonymous said...

Fuzzy, don't encourage the Chick. She takes anything like that as a challenge.

It was only a matter of time ... Nick has dumped on the schools again. I object.

It's mirroring. Without the response of observers, he has no identity.

The guy's a nutcase.

Beautiful, Rhod. He may actually believe his own clippings.
