No Surprise

It is not a mystery and it certainly isn't news.
New York is losing the people it can least afford to lose.
More people are leaving the New York region than any other major metropolitan area in the country.

More than 1 million people moved out of the New York area to another part of the country since 2010, a rate of 4.4 percent — the highest negative net migration rate among the nation’s large population centers, US Census records show.

The number of people leaving the region — which includes parts of New Jersey, Connecticut, the lower Hudson Valley and Long Island — in one year swelled from 187,034 in 2015 to 223,423 in 2016, while the number of international immigrants settling in the tri-state area dwindled from 181,551 to 160,324 over the same period, records show.

I still believe Cali is hemorrhaging as many or more, and of the upper echelon, but they have enough pull and push that they can hide the numbers. Silicon valley might be, on paper, making up for it at the moment. But that, when you get past the paperwork, is a financial Disney Land... all plastic, cheap, and politically correct nonsense. The truth is, while Yahoo and the others are considered multi-billion dollar enterprises, they aren't actually worth anything.

I'm not sure why NY doesn't call in markers to hide their losses? Though they don't have a Silicon Valley by which to, on paper, offset things. Maybe that is the whole of it right there. But, don't worry, you definitely aren't alone. Illinois and a few other states are destroying themselves. The rich will never go back, nor will businesses. And there is no room to reproduce what is being lost. That's a good thing, so long as the leavers don't spread the despoilation. Which... they have a tendency to do. Utah is going to s*)t. Some of is... a certain sector to be unnamed that has gone greedy and wrong, but some of it is outside influence. I really am looking, over some time, at another state. It's gotten shaky here, politically, at the state level.

France lost 2,000 millionaires in 2016 alone. This is how this shit works. Why can't these dumbass socialists figure this out?

Doom - and Cuomo wants to run for President. If they can manage to keep Hillary alive this will be an epic primary as they rip each other apart, bashing their brains out with their incompetence, greed and naked ambition.

Kid, the City of Syracuse was 225,000 in the early 50's; 170,000 in the '70's and now is 143,000. Our County has remained the same for the last 40 years, no growth at all. NY is dying because the only ones moving in are parasites.

About 15 years ago my friends in the Phoenix area said New Yorkers were flooding the place.
